I found that with certain of the older properties that I refurbished, I was often struck down by unexpected illnesses. I used to wonder if I had disturbed ancient bacteria waiting in ambush in the old straw and plaster or between the floorboards.

Then, there were a number of reactions to modern materials, despite wearing masks, gloves more…
